Eatons Hill is a growing suburb north of Brisbane. There has been significant residential development in Eatons Hill, which is located in the northern surburbs of Brisbane, over recent years. Single-detached dwellings are the most common type of housing in the area with units and townhouses also available. There is a mix of traditional Queenslanders and Colonials as well as chamferboard and brick and tile houses in the area. Eatons Hill is a popular suburb with families. There is prestige acreage and residential properties in the Eatons Hill Country Club Estate and some of the newer developments backing onto the South Pine River. While there has been much development over recent years, in early 2007 there is little residential vacant land remaining. There are also occasional small sub-divisions of Residential A land. There is a primary school located in Eatons Hill, with a high school in nearby Albany Creek. A hospital is located 12 minutes away. There is a large shopping centre at Albany Creek as well as major supermarkets. Eatons Hill has bike and walkways as well as plenty of greenbelt areas. The South Pine River is a favourite waterway.
